Ball Valve Use Installation And Maintenance

Ball valve is a pipe used to cut off, the distribution of changes in the direction of the media to change the device, in use only need to rotate 90 degrees of operation and a small turning torque can be closed tight. What do you need to pay attention to when using a ball valve?

The use of ball valves

2, non-metallic parts should be immediately removed from the cleaning agent, not a long time soaking.

3, the assembly of the flange on the flange must be symmetrical, step by step, even tighten.

4, cleaning agents should be with the ball in the rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts and working medium (such as gas) are compatible. When the working medium is a gas, the metal parts can be cleaned with gasoline (GB484-89). Non-metallic parts are washed with pure water or alcohol.

5, the decomposition of each single ball valve parts can be washed with immersion method. Metal parts that are left with undecomposed nonmetallic parts can be scrubbed with a clean, fine, dipped silk cloth (to prevent the fibers from adhering to the part). Cleaning to remove all the adhesion of the wall of grease, dirt, plastic, dust and so on.

6, ball valve decomposition and re-assembly must be careful to prevent damage to the sealing surface parts, especially non-metallic parts, remove the O-ring should use special tools.

7, after cleaning to be washed wall cleaning agent volatile (can be used without cleaning detergent cloth) for assembly, but not for a long time to shelve, otherwise it will rust, dust pollution.

9, use grease lubrication. Grease should be compatible with ball valve metal materials, rubber parts, plastic parts and working medium. When the working medium is a gas, use special gas such as special 221. Apply a thin layer of grease to the surface of the seal mounting groove, apply a thin layer of grease to the rubber seal, apply a thin layer of grease to the sealing surface and friction surface of the valve stem.

10, the assembly should not allow metal debris, fiber, grease (except for the provisions of the use of) dust and other impurities, foreign body pollution, adhesion or stay in the surface of the parts or into the cavity.

Ball valve installation

Preparation of ball valve before installation

1, before and after the pipeline should be coaxial, two flange sealing surface should be parallel. Pipes should be able to withstand the weight of the ball valve, otherwise the pipe must be equipped with appropriate support.

2, the valve before and after the pipeline clean, remove the pipeline of oil, welding slag and all other impurities.

3, check the ball valve logo, identify the ball valve intact. The valve fully open all closed several times confirmed that its work is normal.

4, remove the ball valve at both ends of the connection flange on the protection.

5, check the valve hole to clear the dirt may be, and then clean the valve hole. Even if only small particles of foreign matter between the valve seat and the ball may damage the valve seat sealing surface.

Ball valve installation

1, the ball valve installed on the pipeline, any one end of the ball can be installed in the upstream side. The ball valve driven by the handle can be mounted on any position on the pipe. Check the ball after installation

A), disassembly

Close the ball valve, remove the connecting bolts and nuts on both sides of the flange, and then remove the valve completely from the line. Remove the drive in sequence - actuators, connecting brackets, loose washers, stem nuts, butterfly shrapnel, ginnam, wear plate, stem packing. Remove the cover and connect the nut and nut to separate the bonnet from the valve body and remove the bonnet gasket. Make sure the ball valve is in the "OFF" position, which can be easily removed from the valve body, and then remove the seat. Slide the valve stem down the hole in the valve body until it is completely removed, then remove the O-ring and stem underfill.

B), reassembled

Cleaning and inspection of the removal of parts, it is strongly recommended to use spare parts package replacement valve seat and valve cover gasket and other seals. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly. With the specified torque, cross-locking flange bolts. Use the specified torque to lock the stem nut. After installing the actuator, enter the corresponding signal by rotating the stem to drive the spool to rotate the valve to the open and closed positions. If possible, perform pressure seal testing and performance testing on the valve according to the relevant standards before returning the pipe.
